my perfect day in Williamsburg

about two months ago in early September my sister and I walked the Williamsburg bridge and spent the day there together. we only intended to walk there and spend a little bit of time by the water, maybe sipping a coffee or something. i was completely captivated by domino park and all of the beauty and energy there.

our first stop was a coffee shop called devoción where she got an iced coffee and I got an iced tea, and we walked down to the water and just sat. throughout all of the chaos of covid-19 and coming back to nyc not knowing how it would be, having these little moments of perfection were just breathtaking. we walked around a lottttt, took some pictures at the water, and ate at sunday in brooklyn.

we had to wait a while to be seated at sunday in brooklyn, but it was completely worth it. we split an egg sandwich on brioche bun with cheddar and a sriracha aioli, and avocado toast with sprouts and radishes. both were amazing but the egg sandwich in particular was a game changer. if you’re in the area i highly recommend checking this place out :)

days like these where i’m able to spend time with the people i love, take in beautiful scenery, and eat delicious real food make me feel so grateful. i think it’s really easy to get wrapped up in the unknown and the negative things going on constantly all around us, but it’s the little moments and simple days that bring me so much joy now. one thing i’ve taken away from this whole time is to be present and grateful for what i have. cheers to more sunny, beautiful, fun-loving days like this one ahead.

with love ♥️,

sydney
